Do the University's block grants cover the whole cost of publishing? What about page and colour charges?

The University's block grants can only be used to pay open access fees for eligible papers.

Historically, we were able to use the RCUK grant in exceptional circumstances to pay for other publication costs such as page and colour fees.

However, the terms of the grants no longer permit us to cover these costs. This means that the block grants can only be used to pay for open access fees for eligible papers. 

Submission fees are not an eligible expense from our block grants.
